E-Ticket

Transaero Airlines continuously improves its standard of passenger service by introducing new travel technologies. When you buy an e-ticket, you do not need to come to the ticket office to pick it up.

What is an e-ticket?

An electronic ticket, or e-ticket, is an electronic version of a paper ticket. Your flight booking is performed in the standard manner, but your flight details recorded on the ticket are not printed on paper. They are securely stored in an electronic form in a special database.

What are the advantages of an e-ticket?

An electronic ticket means safety: it is stored in an electronic form, so it cannot be left behind, lost or stolen.

Where and how do I purchase an e-ticket?

The most convenient way to purchase an electronic ticket is to purchase your ticket on the Transaero Airlines website at www.transaero.ru. Your e-ticket is generated for you after the booking and payment process is completed. You will have an itinerary receipt sent to your email address as proof of purchase.

There is also the option of buying an e-ticket at a Transaero sales office or from a travel agent.

How do I pay for my e-ticket?

You can pay for your electronic ticket using any method you wish: with a bank card, cash, or by bank transfer.

What serves as proof of my purchase?

You are issued an itinerary receipt as proof that you purchased an e-ticket.

Like a paper ticket, your itinerary receipt contains full information on your itinerary, method of payment and payment details.

You are advised to keep your itinerary receipt throughout the duration of your flight, especially when traveling abroad. Upon arrival in a foreign country, you will need to be able to complete any security and immigration formalities which may require confirmation of your further itinerary or return arrangements.

Do I need my itinerary receipt during check-in?

You are advised to have it with you while at the airport, although it is not required for a successful check-in.

At the check-in desk, you will be required to produce the identification document or form you stated when booking.

What documents can serve as identification?

First and foremost, it is the passport you are flying with and that you presented at buying ticket.

In addition the bank card that was used to pay your ticket, and your Transaero Privilege frequent-flyer program membership card, if any.

You will need your valid travel passport or international passport when traveling abroad (except flights between Russia and Ukraine or Kazakhstan).
