Dear Friends,

Russian Civil Aviation Authority has recently published the 2009 results of the country’s air transport industry performance which prove that the past year was a success for Transaero Airlines. With more than 5 million passengers carried in 2009, Transaero has become the country’s second – largest air carrier. Our passenger turnover increased by 6.7% while passenger numbers grew by 3.6% on comparison with 2008. Transaero is the only airline among the largest three in Russia which managed to continue its growth in tough environment of 2009.

In the past year Transaero’s RPK on domestic routes separately grew by 70%. We’ve also increased the number of passengers carried on scheduled routes by 28%. The share of charter flights in total number of Transaero's flights was less than 14%, and we plan to decrease those figures in future.

The start of 2010 marked Transaero’s stable operations despite adverse weather conditions in many Russian and European airports. All the planned flights were performed.

Together with our country we are intent on the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games. Transaero Airlines is the official carrier of the Biathlon team of Russia. We do believe that Transaero’s wings bring good luck to Russian sportsmen.

This year we intend to continue our Far East route network development. For the first time in our history we launch flights between Saint – Petersburg and the cities of the Far East. Tickets on flights between Saint – Petersburg and Khabarovsk as well as between Saint – Petersburg and Vladivostok are already on sale.

We go on with our corporate responsibility programs. We’ve prolonged the medical transport agreements with the charity funds “Podari Zhizn", “Nastenka" and “Schastlivy Mir". According to those agreements Transaero provides free transportation of children with cancer and hematological conditions, their parents or medical personnel transporting bone marrow for transplant operations in Russian clinics.
