Corporate Social Responsibility
Our mission is to be the leader in an ever-changing world. Leadership is primarily the responsibility that we demonstrate as Russia’s second-largest airline, as one of the country’s most attractive employers and as an active member of society. .
Corporate social responsibility in a market economy is a system of relationships that promote stable business growth. We see our corporate responsibility primarily in developing our business, enhancing the safety and quality of our services, and maintaining a continuous dialog with our stakeholders: consumers, employees, partners, government organizations, regulatory authorities, shareholders and communities.
We pursue high corporate responsibility standards by introducing principles of sustainable development into our day-to-day operations.
In demonstration of our commitment to meet the highest international business standards, we acceded to the UN Global Compact in 2007.
As a company with a high standard of corporate responsibility, Transaero supports the human rights, labor standards, environmental and anti-corruption principles laid down in the Compact. We have been the leader in the sustainable development of the Russian airlines industry for six years.
In 2008, Transaero signed the Social Charter of Russian Business, a strategic initiative by businesses that lays down a business ethics framework considering the realities of Russia.
Accession to the Social Charter is proof of Transaero’s intention to continue building its business according to principles of transparency and in consideration of our stakeholders’ interests.
