Profiling and Immigration control
Check-in for our flights at Domodedovo International Airport may begin with an extra procedure called profiling, conducted by Transaero security personnel. In the course of profiling, every customer has his/her passport, visa and flight documents (air tickets, baggage tags) checked according to the requirements of all countries included on the itinerary (original place of departure, transit points and final destination).
Transaero security personnel will check the following:
• Whether the passport produced by the passenger is accepted by authorities in the country of destination;
• Any additional requirements for document validity;
• Any travel restrictions due to earlier visits to certain countries;
• What airports will be used at transit points;
• The possibility of visa-free travel between airports at transit points;
• Any transit visa requirements;
• The possibility of obtaining a transit visa upon arrival at the transit point, if required;
• The conditions for visa-free transit, if allowed (booking status of the connecting flight, the minimum and maximum connection time at transit points);
• The possibility of night transit in an airport, availability of visa-free transit hotel accommodations, and hotel rates;
• The requirement, if any, for a minimum amount of funds a traveler must have to cover accommodations, meals, expenses, etc;
• Is Entry visa requirements at the destination;
• The possibility of obtaining a visa upon arrival at the destination, if required;
• What documents are required as proof of the purpose of your trip;
• Tourist voucher requirements;
• Any requirements for minimum funds, host guarantees, medical insurance coverage or inoculation certificates;
• Whether the passenger is required to have return air tickets from the place of destination or tickets to a third country;
• Any visa documents required for return travel, or entry into and exist from a third country.
Passport and visa documents are identity documents necessary and/or sufficient for domestic or international air travel, and visas or equivalent documents.
There are several different types of identity documents that enable their holders to travel between countries. A passport is the most widely used document accepted by every country in the world. In rare cases, passports issued by certain states may not be recognized by other states.
Visa documents are forms issued by embassies, or other documents issued in a country other than the place of departure entitling their holder to enter the country of destination without a visa. There are several different types of visa documents that enable legal entry into a country of destination or transit through the territories of other countries. These are visas, identity documents for temporary or permanent residents, refugee documents, temporary replacements for lost documents valid for one trip, work permits, crew documents, passports issued by international organizations, military identity documents, diplomatic and official identity documents, etc.
