Traveling with children

We always do our best to make air trips for our young passengers comfortable and safe, both for themselves and the adults around them. Children are in for pleasant surprises on board and can watch cartoons during the flight.

Baby and children’s food is available on request. Please order when booking or purchasing your ticket.

Flying with children is subject to a number of rules.

An adult passenger can carry a child of up to two years in his or her seat for free when flying domestically, or for 10 percent of the ticket price when flying internationally. In either case, the adult will need a separate ticket for the child. The other children up to two years or between two and twelve travelling with the passenger can fly at a discount specified in the Transaero Airlines Fare Rules. They are provided a separate seat and are granted an appropriate free baggage allowance.

When purchasing a child ticket and when checking in, the passenger or accompanying person must produce a document, such as a travel passport or birth certificate, that can serve as proof of the child’s age.

The child’s age is counted as of the date on which the trip from the place of departure begins, as stated on the ticket. Transaero Airlines or its authorized agent must state the date of birth on the child’s ticket.

If the child’s actual age is other than that stated on the ticket, Transaero Airlines can deny boarding to the child or require the accompanying adult to purchase a new ticket at the discount appropriate to the child’s actual age.

Trips abroad by Russian minors are subject to applicable Russian laws.

Transaero Airlines is concerned about the comfort of their small passengers and allowed to take into the cabin baby cradles and prams.

Please note that the passage of baby strollers type "stick" only as a sample is allowed in the cabin in compliance with international standards and transport regulations.

All other strollers are dealt to the luggage during the time of registration and are not allowed in the cabin.

We hope for your understanding and kindly ask to make sure that your stroller complies sample in order to prevent delays in your flight landing.
