Unaccompanied Children
Dear customers!
We always do our best to make air trips for our young passengers comfortable and safe, both for themselves and for the adults around them. Children are in for pleasant surprises on board and can watch cartoons during the flight.
Unaccompanied children are subject to special rules.
Unaccompanied children are children aged five to twelve traveling without parents or guardians and not accompanied by adults with a power of attorney signed by their parents or guardians. The rules of transporting unaccompanied children can be applied to children below 16 years upon their parents’ or guardians’ request and with the carrier’s consent.
Before unaccompanied children can be admitted on board, their parents or guardians must have filled out and signed an Unaccompanied Child Carriage Agreement. Copies of the Agreement are obtainable at the airport of departure.
Children are allowed to travel unattended only if they have a confirmed booking for every section of their itinerary and the airline has granted a request for their travel. On transfer flights, children can travel unattended only if the flight is operated by Transaero Airlines and there are no overnight connections.
Unaccompanied children aged five to twelve travel for the full adult fare. They are provided a separate seat in the cabin and a free baggage allowance in accordance with the applicable fare rules.
Please note that escort service for unaccompanied children is not available on charter flights.
Please note also that all matters relating to entry into, exit from, and transit through any country are governed by the laws of the respective states included in the itinerary. For detailed information please refer to the embassies of the countries that your child will enter, exit or transit while traveling.
