Special meals

    You can order special meals when booking your flight or purchasing your ticket.

    We offer approximately 30 types of special meals. The entire range of special meals is available only when flying from Domodedovo International Airport. When departing from Sheremetyevo, you can order only kosher, vegetarian, or seafood meals and meals for infants up to two years.

    Sample special meals:

    •     Infant food (up to two years): This food is composed of regular food products; for example, specially processed meat, vegetables, fruit and desserts.

    •     Children’s food (two years and older): Children’s meals are composed of soft, easy-to-chew “finger" foods, such as carrot sticks, fruit, cheese, biscuits, etc.

    •     Light meals for those with gastrointestinal disorders: These are low-fat diet foods without hot, hard-to-absorb ingredients.

    •     Diabetic food: These are foods with no sugar added and high in complex carbohydrates, and high-fiber and low-fat foods yielding approximately 2,000-2,400 calories per 24 hours.

    •     Fruit plate: Our fruit plates are composed of fresh or unsweetened preserved fruit without food additives.

    •     Gluten-free food: This excludes any foods containing wheat, rye, barley or oats.

    •     High-fiber food: High-fiber food contains soluble and insoluble fibers: fruit, vegetables, high-fiber cereals, legumes and nuts.

    •     Hindu food: Hindu food contains no beef, veal or pork. The use of mutton, poultry, fish and dairy is permissible. Preference is given to hot curry dishes. If you need a vegetarian Hindu meal, you can order an Asian, Indian or vegetarian meal as replacement.

    •     Kosher food: All our kosher meals are prepared and served in accordance with Jewish dietary laws.

    •     Low-calorie food: Our low-calorie meals are high in complex carbohydrates and low in fat, yielding approximately 1,200 calories per 24 hours. These meals are low in cholesterol and high in fiber, and contain unsaturated fats.

    •     Low-protein food: The low-protein content is achieved by limited use of foods that are high in proteins: meat, fish, eggs and dairy. Salt is not used when cooking.

    •     Low-sodium, salt-free food: No salt is used when cooking and no foods with a high salt content are used to achieve a minimum sodium content.

    •     Muslim food: The use of pork is prohibited. Gelatin and alcohol are not used in cooking these meals. White chicken meat is served in most cases. Milk is allowed.

    •     Lactose-free food: These meals contain no milk ingredients.

    •     Oriental food: The main course is a hot eastern-style dish of meat, poultry or fish.

    •     Low-urine food: These meals have a minimum urine content and are moderately low in fats. Fruit and vegetables are included.

    •     Seafood meals: Our seafood meals include combinations of seafood with fresh and parboiled vegetables.

    •     Vegetarian food: We are offering various vegetarian meals. No meat of any type, fish, pig fat or gelatin are served to vegetarians, lacto and ovo vegetarians. Our meals for lacto vegetarians include dairy but exclude eggs. The ovo vegetarian meals contain eggs but exclude dairy. The cheese included into these meals is free from rennet where possible. Our meals for Asian/Indian vegetarians are savory combinations, in which limited used of dairy is allowed. We offer raw fruit and/or vegetable mixes to those vegetarians who prefer raw vegetable food. When composing our special menus, we consider other personal dietary requirements, too, such as the absence of alcohol, caffeine drinks, processed foods, non-organically grown or processed ingredients, additives, or preservatives.
