Main rules of refund

1. Refund request processing period

Refund will be made within ten days after the application is received in accordance with the RF laws.

2. Refund more than 24 hours before the flight from Russia

If the booking is cancelled more than 24 hours before the departure refund “without charges” will be made, in case when the carriage originates in Russia.

3. Refund more than 24 hours before the flight from abroad

If the booking is cancelled more than 24 hours before the departure refund with 10% charge will be made, in case when the carriage originates abroad.

4. Refund less than 24 hours before the flight

Refund with 25% charge of the applicable fare will be made if the booking is cancelled less than 24 hours before the departure.

5. Refund of ticket issuance fee

Ticket issuance fee (1 euro equivalent) is non refundable.

6. Charge for refund procedure

In accordance with the Order of the Ministry of Transport of Russia № 155 of September, 25, 2008, fee for the ticket cancellation is settled in amount 1490 rub if paid by credit card and in cash when carriage is domestic; in amount 40 euro equivalent if paid by credit card and in cash when carriage is international.

7. Refund of a partially used ticket

Refund of a partially used ticket is calculated by subtracting the cost of a used one way fare from the paid round trip fare. You may specify one way fare in our Call-Center by phone: 8 800 200 23 76.

8. Other terms

The refund can be made only on the basis of the filled form of the established sample (on the right). Applications in the free form aren't accepted. We do not return funds for the tickets bought on sites, differ from www.transaero.com (national domains).

2. REFUND FOR UNPERFORMED CARRIAGE

2.1. Refund Categories

2.1.1. Involuntary/voluntary refund means return of money in case of involuntary/voluntary passenger’s cancellation of carriage or involuntary/voluntary consignor’s cancellation of cargo carriage.

2.1.2. Reasons for involuntary cancellation. Passenger’s cancellation of carriage or consignor’s cancellation of cargo carriage, and termination of an air carriage contract with TRANSAERO AIRLINES shall be deemed involuntary in any of the following cases: a) The flight specified in the traffic document (ticket or air waybill) is cancelled or delayed; b) The airline changes the route of travel; c) The flight schedule is breached; d) The passenger is not departed because no seat for the flight on the date shown in the ticket can be provided to him (her); e) Failure to carry the Passenger by air is caused by the Passenger’s delay at the airport due to the long search unless the baggage screening or passenger personal search has detected restricted articles or substances; f) The Carrier fails to ensure flight connection in case of a single operation; g) Sudden disease of the passenger or disease or death of his/her family member accompanying the passenger on the flight as confirmed by medical records; h) The passenger is not provided with the class of service specified in the ticket; i) TRANSAERO AIRLINES or its authorized agent has completed the ticket improperly; j) The cargo is not dispatched because the Carrier fails to offer sufficient space and weight capacity on the flight on the date specified in the air waybill, and the consignor does not agree to complete the carriage on a different date.

2.1.3. Unilateral termination of an air carriage contract at the initiative of TRANSAERO AIRLINES. a) The passenger or the consignor fails to comply with passport, customs, sanitary or other requirements established by the air carriage laws of the Russian Federation with respect to international air transportation, as well as the rules established by the respective authorities in the country of departure, destination or transit; b) The passenger or the consignor refuses to comply with requirements established in the federal aviation rules; c) The aircraft passenger’s health status requires special air carriage conditions or endangers security of this passenger or other persons, which is proved by medical records, or creates disorder or unavoidable inconvenience to other persons; d) The aircraft passenger refuses to pay for the carriage of the baggage with the weight exceeding the set free baggage allowance; e) The aircraft passenger refuses to pay for the carriage of the child accompanying him/her, except as otherwise provided for in the TRANSAERO AIRLINES Rules for Air Carriage. f) The aircraft passenger violates the rules of conduct on board the aircraft posing a threat to the aircraft flight security or threat to life or health of other persons; or the passenger does not follow any of the commander’s instructions given in accordance with article 58 of the Air Code of the Russian Federation; g) There are restricted articles or substances in the passenger’s belongings, baggage or cargo. h) The actual volume and weight of the cargo presented for carriage considerably exceeds (by more than 10%) the free baggage allowance as compared to those preliminary 59 Rules for Air Carriage of Passengers, Baggage, Cargo and Mail OJSC “TRANSAERO Airlines”, 2009 Revision reserved, while the Carrier is unable carry such cargo in the next few days without financial or reputational loss.

2.1.4. Passenger’s cancellation of flight or consignor’s cancellation of cargo carriage in any of cases other than specified in clause 2.1.2 shall be deemed voluntary air carriage cancellation.

2.2. Period of Traffic Documents’ Validity to Refund.

2.2.1. In the event of failure to perform carriage through the Carrier’s fault, or involuntary or voluntary passenger’s flight cancellation, or involuntary consignor’s cargo carriage cancellation, or termination of the air carriage at the Carrier’s initiative (except as specified in paragraphs “f”, “b”, “g”, ”h” (for cargo) of Article 2.1.3), the Carrier shall make refund against the unused traffic document. The refund shall be made in accordance with the provisions of Section 8 of these rules and the Carrier’s Fare Rules.

2.2.2. Refund of money against a traffic document shall be made within a year after the commencement of carriage if the carriage has been commenced, or within a year after the date, on which the traffic document was issued, if the carriage was not commenced, except as otherwise provided for by the Fare Rules. Refund of money against an unused or partially used miscellaneous charges order shall be made within a year after the date, on which the miscellaneous charges order was issued, unless the Carrier has established any other restrictions. If a traffic document/miscellaneous charges order was issued in exchange of another traffic document/miscellaneous charges order, the date when the original traffic document/miscellaneous charges order was issued shall be deemed the date, from which the refundable period is calculated, if the carriage was not commenced.

2.2.3. Refund against lost/stolen traffic documents/MCO and/or reissued duplicates shall be made within a month upon expiration of the validity period for the refundable lost/stolen traffic document (for traffic documents), and within a month upon expiration of the validity period for the refundable lost/stolen document (for MCO) to prevent unauthorized use thereof.

2.3. Points of Refund of Money Paid for Air Carriage.

2.3.1. In the event of involuntary cancellation of air carriage, the unused carriage may be refunded at the passenger’s location.

2.3.2. In the event of air carriage cancellation at the Carrier’s initiative, money paid for the air carriage shall be refunded at the place of the air ticket purchase.

2.3.3. In the event of voluntary passenger’s cancellation of air carriage, the completely unused air ticket shall be refunded at the place of purchase thereof.

2.2.4. In the event of voluntary refund, the Carrier shall reserve the right to impose the Flight Cancellation Charge and the Refund Charge collected either from the passenger or the consignor.

2.4. Persons Entitled to Refund for Unused Carriage

2.4.1. The refundable amounts shall be paid against the unused (partially used) traffic document and/or miscellaneous charges order to the person specified in these documents against presentation of the identification document, or to an authorized person against presentation of the identification document and a notarized document certifying the right to receive the refund.

2.4.2. Refund against traffic documents paid for by a plastic card shall be made exclusively at the expense of the Owner of the card used for payment through the bank authorization centre or, if the card cannot be presented, by agreement with the Carrier through a bank transfer in compliance with 2.3.

2.4.3. Refund of money paid through the Carrier’s Internet sales channel shall be made solely via the Internet to the plastic card account or any other electronic account used for payment.

2.5. Reimbursement Procedure for Refundable Amounts.

2.5.1. The procedure for refund of money, calculation of refundable amounts, calculation of charges collected in the event of carriage cancellation, calculation of refund charge shall comply with the OJSC “TRANSAERO Airlines” Rules for Reimbursement of Money Refundable to Passengers and Consignors in the Event of the Air Carriage Contract Termination.

2.5.2. Refund of money to passenger for carriage performed on a charter flight shall be made in accordance with the laws of the Russian Federation.
